Luxury Country House MountGrace appoints internationally experienced Spa Manager
Mount Grace Country House & Spa has appointed widely travelled Gillian Kureva as its new spa manager. Her decade plus industry experience has taken her across some of the world’s top spas from exotic India to the sun drenched Caribbean. Exuding a quiet confidence and flair, Gillian says she plans to bring some of her international spa experiences to the award winning Mount Grace Spa.
“In this business you cannot afford to relax as there’s always room to up your game. At MountGrace we have an excellent product ideally located in this beautiful Magaliesburg countryside with five star luxury accommodation and exquisite cuisine but there remains great potential to add to the spa experience and make it truly memorable,” she said.
Trained in beauty therapy and Spa Management at Steiner Collegein the UK, Gillian began her career inLondon as a beauty therapist in 2000. Two years later the entrepreneurial bug bit and she came to Johannesburgand opened a beauty salon which she ran for two years before packing her bags to Jamaica and Bermudain 2004where she worked as a spa manager for a year and a half.
Thereafter East Africa beckoned and she settled in Kenyawhere she opened the spa at the five star Leopard Beach Resort & Spa. She spent the next two years there before setting off to Indiato run the spa at the top class Oterra Bangalore hotel. Coming back to South Africa in 2009 Gillian joined the Camelot Spa Group where she managed the Camelot spas in Centurion and Zambia. She then moved to Head Office and where she managed operations for the franchise spas as well as the Camelot managed spas.
