Opening night of the 12 Tenors

I have been sitting here all morning with a blank page in front of me trying to describe the opening night of the 12 Tenors at the Joburg Theatre Complex.

Tiffany Eslick and I braved the Joburg thunderstorm to attend The 12 Tenors. Not sure of what to expect, or even what music we where about to listen to, we stacked up on choccies and chips and took our seats.

From the moment the curtain opened an electrifying atmosphere gripped the audience as these 12 gorgeous men descended onto the stage with voices that could melt an ice queen.

These delicious 12 Tenors kept the audience singing, dancing and clapping along with songs ranging from opera to pop to 20th-century classics. Not only did the Tenors entertain us with there singing but it was evident from the smiles on their faces and the jokes that they made that we were not the only ones having fun.

The most disappointing part of the evening is when the curtain closed, the lights came on and we all had to go home, but the greatest thing was the 12 Tenors where out in the foyer having their photographs taken and signing CD’s.

With the stealth of a wild hungry lion, Tiffany and I took the opportunity to get up close and personal with the boys. Having our photo taken and our CDs signed. We resigned to the fact that this night had to end. On the way home, the 12 Tenors CD was promptly put on and blasted all the way home with us belting out the words to ‘Phil The Fluter’s Ball.

I would recommend this show to everyone of all ages. Book now to avoid disappointment, and trust me it will be very disappointing if you miss out on this!!
