Shootout at Bryanston Parallel Medium

Eyewitness news reports, Bryanston Parallel Medium Primary in northern Johannesburg was the scene of a shootout on Tuesday morning.

A security guard alerted police, after spotting a suspicious man in the parking lot. It is believed he tried to use a jamming device to steal one of the cars.

Several police and security vehicles filled the schools parking lot, while yellow police tape cordons off the area.
Police were alerted and on arrival they were shot at.

The officers returned fire but the suspect managed to escape in a black Subaru.
