Minibus taxi overturns as a result of speeding
This morning, a minibus taxi overturned on Maxwell Drive, Sunninghill when the driver drove straight through a red robot impacting another car.
It was reported, by the passengers of the taxi that the driver was speeding, it is suspected that because of the speed of the taxi, it was unable to brake and stop in time.
“ER24 and other emergency services responded to the 14 patients who were injured, two of which sustained serious injuries.
“All the patients were transported to various provincial hospitals. JMPD were on the scene and are investigating the incident”, said Lloyd Krause of ER24.
The driver of the taxi sustained a serious injury and was also transported to hospital after the police questioned him.

Hey I live there.... I am just gratefull it didnt happen to me as I pass that road daily.
I dont blame the Taxi driver, I also race for that robot , it could have happened to any one (because the road is designed in a way that allows for high speeds)!
I suggest a small speed hump should be placed just before the Robot!
