Horrific Horse Accident
Late Wednesday night Inspector Lilly Motsemme of the Sandton SPCA had a call for an accident involving a motorist and some horses. She had no idea what to expect.
On arrival she was faced with a heart breaking site of two Shetlands that were knocked down by a motorist.
The Shetlands were grazing unattended in a nearby field when they decided to cross a very busy road. Both died on impact. Further down the road a foal was also found that had been knocked down earlier.
The motorist had minor injuries but his car was a complete write off. Once again this is due to irresponsible ownership!!!
Sandton SPCA is handling this case and cannot comment at this stage as this matter also involves the City of Johannesburg's Environmental Department.
