Forensic investigators are currently combing the scene of a murder and robbery which happened in Bryanston on Monday night.
Details are still sketchy but police say a man, in his late 50s, was robbed and killed.

Police said another four suspected gemstone con artists were arrested in a carefully orchestrated sting in Rosebank in northern Johannesburg.

Bryanston: On Thursday January 26, 2012, at approximately 8pm, a business robbery took place in Ballyclare Drive. The victim was inside the office when he was approached by an unknown male, and pointed with a firearm. Victim was forced to lie down, and a second suspect entered. The victim was robbed of his cell phone and jewellery, suspects fled with computers, laptop and TV. Suspects were seen driving a silver VW polo.

Bryanston Parallel Medium Primary in northern Johannesburg was the scene of a shootout on Tuesday morning.
A security guard alerted police, after spotting a suspicious man in the parking lot. It is believed he tried to use a jamming device to steal one of the cars.

Sunninghill: On Friday January 13, 2012, at approximately 6.45am, a business was robbed in Nanyuki Road. The victim was inside the office of the shop when approached by one unknown male. The victim was shown a firearm, and the suspect demanded cash. A second suspect collected the kitchen staff and brought them all to the office. The suspects took the cash and were seen fleeing in a silver Nissan Skyline. One suspect was arrested.

Wendywood: On Wednesday January 11, 2012, at approximately 8.30am, a house robbery took place in Bowling Avenue. Victim was a gardener, and when he reported at his place of work he saw a white Nissan 1400 bakkie, with plumbing equipment on the back, parked in front of the residence.
